Balayage is a one-day programme exploring different approaches to placement, application and colour results. It combines theory with guided practice, helping stylists choose techniques according to the client’s starting colour, hair condition and desired finish.

• Freehand balayage
painting directly onto the hair without foils.

• Foilyage
balayage placement using foils.

• Extra blonde balayage
combining Foilyage and Babylights for a brighter
result and to help blend grey hair.

• Panel balayage
application using a support board and brush, without foils.

• Brunette balayage
creating dimension in brunette hair.

• Ash balayage
planning lightening and toning for cooler results.

Discover how colour theory shapes your balayage results, then explore sectioning, brush control and placement on mannequin heads. Bring your questions and real client cases — together, we’ll connect the science with the creative decisions behind each technique.

Put your chosen technique into practice on a model or mannequin head, with your educator by your side to demonstrate, guide and answer questions. Four hours of hands-on learning help you build confidence to bring new techniques into your everyday salon work.

An engaging day of learning, sharing ideas and hands-on practice, with time to ask questions and explore real client cases — including examples from your own salon.

Individual feedback, a short morning break and a relaxed lunch break complete the eight-hour day.

For salon-based courses, the salon must provide the required products, tools, equipment, mannequin heads and models, as applicable. A preparation list is provided before the course.

For workshops and events, all required materials and equipment are provided by us.

Understand the why, then practise the how.

We connect colour theory with creative placement, helping you make thoughtful choices for each client. Morning exercises on mannequin heads give you space to explore and ask questions before moving into afternoon practice.

Your educator works alongside you, offering demonstrations and guidance as you apply your chosen technique. Real client cases — including examples from your own salon — bring the learning closer to the challenges you face every day.

The aim is to leave with fresh ideas, stronger understanding and the confidence to put new techniques into practice.

Printed or digital learning materials are included at no extra cost, according to each participant’s preference. Participants who would like both formats can purchase the additional version for the following fee per person:
